The night came alive with 1000+ women participants with the spirit of women’s empowerment, sponsored by Regal Jewellers in collaboration with 24 News and Flowers Channel. This initiative is a proud celebration of strength, unity, and sisterhood, held on March 8th at Durbar Hall Ground, Ernakulam.
Regal Jewellers, Kerala’s biggest wholesalers and manufacturers, took a bold step in promoting women’s empowerment through the Pink Midnight Run event “Celebrating Womanhood,” which drew over 1,000 women from ages 5 to 70 across the region. It was heartwarming to see students, women from different parts of Kerala, non-Keralites, and Asha workers from the Kochi Corporation all coming together in this inspiring experience. The midnight run was more than just an event; it was a testament to the fact that “women also own the night and public spaces, filling them with their powerful presence.”
The run was flagged off at 9 PM by Honourable Minister P. Rajeev, who transformed the night into a beacon of hope and equality, supported by the Kerala Tourism Department and graced by notable personalities, including the Flowers MD & 24 channel Chief Editor R Sreekandan Nair and Ernakulam District Collector Sri N.S.K. Umesh. Regal Jewellers honored the top performers in two categories: Nithya CR, who completed the 5 km run in 21 minutes and 42 seconds, was awarded a trophy and a ₹15,000 gift voucher in the 15-30 age group, while Minna Likhin, in the 30 and above category, also received a trophy and a ₹15,000 gift voucher.

In the Pink Midnight Run, each participant was a symbol of progress and empowerment. As they journeyed from Maharajas to High Court Junction and back, every step symbolized the strength and resilience of women.
